Can Anyone Join?
Yes! If you are 18 or above, there is a spot for all skills and talents. Team positions include Search Responder, K9 Handler, and Auxillary Member.
Is There a Fee for Services?
No. There are no fees as services are provided by our all-volunteer team.
Donations are always accepted, but never expected.
Does Weather Affect Services?
NWPAK9SAR responds in all types of weather. However, searches may be temporarily suspended if weather jeopardizes the safety of responders.
When Should You Call for Help?
As soon as possible! Search areas rapidly expand the longer a person is missing, and scent can be drastically affected by time and weather.
How Can I Help Northwest Pennsylvania K9 Search and Rescue?
- Spend a day hiding for the K9s during training
- Volunteer in various roles on the team
- Visit us at community events
- Support our main fundraising events (The Get Lost 5K in June and Annual NWPAK9SAR Golf Outing in August)
- Donations or T-shirt orders
